London, Tuesday 27 October 2009 -- Global pre-school channel JimJam, a joint venture between HIT Entertainment and Chello Zone, will launch into Israel for the first time in a deal signed with satellite broadcaster yes.
The channel will launch on yes in January 2010 as a 24-hour service, forming part of the platform’s basic tier of channels, reaching an immediate 560,000 new subscribers. JimJam will be broadcast initially in English audio and Russian audio, catering for the significant Russian-speaking population, estimated to be almost one million living in Israel.
