Justin has been snapped up by live action production company th2ng. “We loved his commercials work for Carrier and Herbal Essences and music videos for Bell XI and Take That,” says Hannah Cooper, head of th2ng. “And as th2ng is home to a number of talented live action directors, we knew that having made his name by directing Magick for Channel 4 that he would share our philosophy for cutting-edge live action. We are delighted that such a talented director has joined us.”
After graduating from film school with a 1st Class (BA) Degree in film, photography and animation, and an award for the best student film at the Royal Television Society Awards, Justin’s first foray into directing commercials was the anti drink-driving test commercial 'Think'. The film was profiled in Shots magazine before going on to be included as part of the 'Evolutions' New Directors showcase in both London and New York.
Since then his work in commercials has been extensive, working in both London and around the world for such diverse clients as Vodafone, Skype, Pantene, Herbal Essences, Doritos, Carrier, News Corp, and Americana.
Justin’s music video work has offered him the opportunity to work with acts such as Take That, Orson, Just Jack, David Jordan, Bell X1 and Ministry of Sound, creating both visually inventive and heavily rotated videos.
Justin has also directed a number of TV programs, and was nominated for the prestigious Golden Rose award for his darkly comic series entitled ‘Magick ‘ – screened on Channel 4, and acquired by TV stations around the world.
