Linkin Park Releases Anime-Inspired ‘Meteora’ 20th Anniversary Music Video

The AI-hybrid video for previously unreleased song ‘Lost’ is produced and animated by Shibuya, with AI production by Kaiber.ai.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of their renowned rock album Meteora, Linkin Park has unveiled a new anime-inspired music video for their previously unreleased song Lost. While former lead singer Chester Bennington sadly passed away in 2017, the surviving band members have found a way to honor the former front man as well as their impressive body of work.

First released in 2003, Meteora became the band’s second big album after breakout hit Hybrid Theory. The album also marked the entry of anime themes into the band persona, including the animated video for Breaking the Habit produced by Studio Gonzo. Lost is a welcome return to the beloved style, featuring a character from Shibuya's NFT driven series, White Rabbit.

“Finding this track was like finding a favorite photo you had forgotten you’d taken, like it was waiting for the right moment to reveal itself.” Linkin Park co-founder Mike Shinoda remarked in a statement. “For years, fans have been asking us to release something with Chester’s voice, and I’m thrilled we’ve been able to make that happen in such a special way. I think they’re going to be floored when they hear and see all the incredible unreleased songs and video footage in METEORA|20.”
