Mainframe Ent. will create original logos, branding, opening and closing segments, and introductions for upcoming 2006 MTV MOVIE AWARDS broadcast, which air June 8 on MTV. The studio will blend elements of 2D and 3D animation to create stylized animated sequences for the awards show. The studio contributed branding to the awards program last year after it launched a full service creative services division.
Its fantastic to work again with MTV in such a creative capacity, said Mainframe ceo Rick Mischel. The 2006 MTV MOVIE AWARDS are a great opportunity to demonstrate the phenomenal design, directorial and artistic talent we have here at Mainframe, as well as the multiple branding and commercial animation services we offer.
Mainframe had a big hand in making the 2003 MOVIE AWARDS one of the most visually stunning and entertaining shows on the network that year, and we were excited to work with them again, said Rick Austin, producer, 2006 MTV MOVIE AWARDS. This year we had a visual concept that went 180 degrees from the big crazy CG environments we had done recently, and Mainframe immediately got it.
Mainframe also animated the 2003 MTV MOVIE AWARDS, creating the logos and animation for the superhero-themed event. The studio animated stars Justin Timberlake and Seann William Scott as superheroes, as well as created original animated introductions for all of the award categories. This year, segments introducing the award categories, which include everything from Best Kiss to Best Villain, will again feature stylized CG-animated elements.
