Connect with industry contacts and meet new ones at OAIF’s The Animation Conference coming to Ottawa September 21-23; the festival runs September 21-25.
The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is around the corner and with it, The Animation Conference (TAC) where attendees can reconnect with industry contacts and forge new ones with the producers, broadcasters, artists, executives, and buyers in attendance. TAC runs September 21-23 and OIAF runs September 21-25.
This year’s programs will see the return of everybody’s favorite boat cruise (thanks to Toon Boom!); TAC’s signature pitching events Fast Track (powered by Tonic DNA) and Pitch THIS! (Presented by Mercury Filmworks); and a co-production focus (presented by the Canada Media Fund) with a spotlight on the recently renewed Canada-France treaty, with a delegation of French producers in attendance (supported by the French Embassy in Canada).
On Friday WIA Vancouver’s “Meet the Festivals” panel will host a networking breakfast and there will be an artist talk with Oscar-nominated Chilean filmmaker Hugo Covarrubias – then on to the Animators’ Picnic presented by Cartoon Network Studios,
