The ‘China, IL’ creator’s all-new 2D adult comedy follows a single mom in Arkansas forced to move to the ‘other side’ of town; series will run exclusively on the streamer in Fall 2021.
Paramount+ today released the first-look teaser art and trailer for their upcoming 2D adult animated comedy The Harper House. Created and executive produced by Brad Neely, creator of Adult Swim’s China, IL, with a voice cast that includes Rhea Seehorn, Jason Lee, Tatiana Maslany, and Ryan Flynn as the Harper family, the 10-episode Paramount+ Original Series will premiere this fall exclusively on the streamer.
The Harper House follows an overconfident female head of a household as she struggles to regain a higher status for herself and for her family of oddballs after losing her job and moving from the rich side to the poor side of a small town in Arkansas. To save money, they’ve moved into their inherited Victorian fixer-upper, the historic Harper House.
VyVy Nguyen, Lance Krall, Roberta Colindrez, Tessa Skara, John “Spud” McConnell, Chris Diamantopoulos, Joanna Hausmann, Gabourey Sidibe, Nyima Funk and Gary Anthony Williams also voice characters in the series. Katie Krentz executive produces along with Neely.
The series is produced by CBS Eye Animation Productions, CBS Studios’ new animation arm, in association with 219 Productions. Titmouse (Big Mouth), the Emmy Award-winning independent animation production company, serves as the animation studio for the series.
The Harper House joins Paramount+’s growing list of original animated series Paramount+, including Star Trek: Lower Decks; Rugrats; Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years; Stephen Colbert Presents Tooning Out the News; No Activity; and the highly anticipated Star Trek: Prodigy premiering later this year.
