New U.K. outpost led by EP James Prosser and executive director Martin Hobbs alongside VFX supervisors Matt Kasmir and Jesper Kjölsrud and art director Rafael Morant to provide effects for George Clooney’s ‘Suburbicon’ feature written by the Coen Brothers.
Stockholm-based Goodbye Kansas Entertainment Group has announced the launch of their new U.K. studio to help deliver their unique smorgasbord of talents and services to filmmakers, marketers and games developers across the U.K. and Worldwide.
Goodbye Kansas UK will be based in London and will be led by Executive Producer James Prosser (Moving Picture Company, ZOO) and Executive Director Martin Hobbs (Moving Picture Company, Prime Focus), alongside VFX Supervisors Matt Kasmir (Nvizible, Cinesite) and Jesper Kjölsrud (Imagine Engine, Double Negative) and Art Director Rafael Morant (Bluebolt).
The newly-formed team have recently been hired to work on the upcoming movie Suburbicon, directed by George Clooney and written by the Coen Brothers. The film is a black comedy set in the 1950s and set for release in 2017.
The Goodbye Kansas Entertainment group is made up of Fido, Black Studios and Imagination Studios.
Fido provides a wide range of VFX and animation services, specialising in digital characters and photorealistic animals for film, TV and commercials. Recent work includes the hit TV series The Walking Dead and the internet sensation Kung Fury.
Black Studios produces award-winning in game cinematics and trailers for AAA game developers and publishers. Recent credits include acclaimed work for Mass Effect: Andromeda, Conan, and Unravel. They also produced the award-winning Nike Your Year campaign for AKQA.
Imagination Studios provides professional motion capture, 3D animation and previsualisation. The studio has contributed to the success of many AAA game titles including Battlefield, Dragon Age, God of War and the Hitman series.
The launch of the Goodbye Kansas UK is a significant milestone for the Goodbye Kansas Group. The UK studio will have direct links to the Stockholm studio and utilise the company’s highly refined pipeline and infrastructure and wealth of creative talent.
