TELETOON Greenlights ‘Chop Chop Ninja’

Based on the highly successful game franchise, new action/comedy animated series to be co-produced by Montreal-based Sardine Productions and Gamerizon Studio.

MONTREAL -- Sardine Productions and Gamerizon Studio have announced a deal with Corus Entertainment’s TELETOON to produce forty, 11-minute episodes of the action/comedy animated series Chop Chop Ninja, based on the game franchise created by Gamerizon. The series, following up on the popular Chop Chop Ninja Challenge, a series of shorts on TELETOON, is supported by the Shaw Rocket Fund.

Fast-paced Chop Chop Ninja follows the comic exploits of Iro, a clumsy and intense ninja, and his three best friends as they defend their Chop Chop Academy while training as Chop Chop ninjas. Iro applies ninja technique, attitude and most of all, heart, to everything he does, every minute of every day.

“TELETOON fans can’t get enough of Chop Chop games and the shorts,” remarked Athena Georgaklis, Director of Content, TELETOON. “Audiences will be delighted with the new adventures of Iro and his gang in the new series.”

“With the Chop Chop Ninja shorts now sold in more than 100 territories, we’re thrilled to follow up with a full series,” commented Madeleine Lévesque, Vice-President - Content, Sardine Productions.

“With the addition of this series to the already popular games, Chop Chop Ninja should prove to be a fun multi screen experience that kids can delve into and enjoy,” added Agnes Augustin, President & CEO, Shaw Rocket Fund. "We’re happy to support Sardine’s latest production.”
