Cake Distribution and FRESH TV have signed a new worldwide distribution deal for FRESH TV's TOTAL DRAMA ACTION series -- the sequel to their animated reality series TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND. The new deal brings all the drama to a wider market than TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND.
FRESH TV's original series became a breakout success on TELETOON, drawing a strong audience in a growing list of markets, both on-air and online, and can currently be seen on the Cartoon Network in the U.S.
TOTAL DRAMA ACTION picks up where TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND left off and takes 15 of the original contestants to a new location -- a deserted film studio lot. Here our contestants will be exposed to new challenges with the chance to win an even bigger prize. New to the concept will be a number of talk-show episodes, where former contestants and fans comment on the competition.
TOTAL DRAMA ACTION was created by FRESH TV's Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch and is commissioned by TELETOON Canada. TOTAL DRAMA ACTION is currently in production and will premiere in spring of 2009.
