VFS and Pixomondo Launch 12-Week Certificate Program

The Vancouver Film School teams up with the leading VFX and virtual production studio to train students for careers as VAD Technical Artists, VAD Generalists, and UE Technical Artists.

Vancouver Film School (VFS) has partnered with virtual production and visual effects studio Pixomondo to introduce cutting-edge training in virtual production. The partnership expands the school’s global reach and will offer students exposure to industry-leading practices.

Sony Pictures Entertainment-owned Pixomondo operates studios worldwide and has contributed to high-profile projects such as Game of Thrones and The Boys. Through the partnership with VFS, the award-winning VFX studio and leader in industry innovation will bring virtual production expertise along with the professionals using the technology to provide training.

The program, a 12-week online “Certificate Program” titled "Virtual Production: Virtual Art Department Content Creation,” is designed to equip students with the essential skills for content creation in virtual production. Students will receive hands-on training from industry professionals who use the technology. The program will help prepare students for careers as VAD Technical Artists, VAD Generalists, UE Technical Artists, and other related jobs.
