'Wild Kratts' Arrives in Germany

Toronto, Canada -- 9 Story Entertainment announced the sale of season one of animated children’s series Wild Kratts to Germany’s Super RTL. A co-production between The Kratt Brothers Company and 9 Story Entertainment, Wild Kratts is distributed internationally by 9 Story Entertainment and by Kratt Brothers Company in the US and Canada.

Wild Kratts was created and developed by real life brothers and zoologists Martin and Chris Kratt (both nominated for this year’s Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in a Children’s Animated Series). The seriespremiered in January 2011 on PBS KIDS GO! in the U.S., and TVOntario, Knowledge Network and Télé-Québec in Canada. It has also been sold to Discovery Kids Latin America, Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (Middle East), NOGA (Israel), TV3 (Spain), SIC (Portugal) RTE (Ireland) , Discovery Kids Asia, and VRT (Belgium).

In Wild Kratts, the Kratt brothers leap into animated action in a half-hour comedy adventure. In each episode, Chris and Martin Kratt travel to a different corner of the world to meet amazing new animals. Its laugh-out-loud comedy, as they activate their Creature Power Suits to rescue their animal friends.

Prior to Wild Kratts, Kratt Brothers Company created and produced two PBS children’s series, the Parents’ Choice Gold Award-winning Kratts’ Creatures (which also aired on Super RTL) and the Emmy Award-winning Zoboomafoo. Their third show, Kratt Brothers: Be The Creature for National Geographic Channel, is a primetime family wildlife adventure series that has been broadcast in more than 150 countries around the world.
