The festival, a meeting place for industry professionals and the public alike, the 22nd edition of the annual event returns to the Swiss town of Baden September 3-8.
Fantoche is Switzerland’s biggest cultural event devoted exclusively to animation in its many facets, including technology, content, and media. The 22nd edition runs from September 3-8 in Baden.
Launched in 1995 to bring the global animation scene to Switzerland, the festival has become an event for the public and a meeting place for the international film and creative industries. It takes place every year in September over six days in the Swiss town of Baden.
The annual festival features 280+ animated shorts and features films from around the world. The schedule includes presentations, panels, lectures, and exhibitions. Each year, Fantoche holds both international and Swiss competitions for short animated productions. Under the guidance of curators, the event explores an array of themes and shines the spotlight on new, multimedia-based, and interactive forms of animation.
