Deleted Scene: DreamWorks Animation’s ‘Captain Underpants’ Lands on Disc September 12

Now available on Digital HD, director David Soren’s outrageous family comedy based on the bestselling book series by Dav Pilkey arrives on retail shelves on September 12 in DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra-HD editions.

In celebration of the August 29 Digital HD release and upcoming September 12 DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra-HD release of DreamWorks Animation’s Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, AWN has an exclusive deleted scene to share from the movie!

Based on the bestselling book series by Dav Pilkey, and directed by David Soren, the outrageous family comedy tells the story of two overly imaginative best friends, George (Kevin Hart) and Harold (Thomas Middleditch), who hypnotize their principal (Ed Helms) into thinking he’s the hero from their comic books: Captain Underpants. Additional voice cast member include Nick Kroll, Thomas Middleditch, Jordan Peele and Kristen Schaal.

The home entertainment release of Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie delivers more than 30 minutes of action-packed special bonus content. From engaging features, such as “The Really Awesome Adventures of Captain Underpants” motion comic and “The Professor Poopypants (Totally Original and Supercool) Guide to Being a Villain” to riotous deleted scenes, a lyric video from “Weird Al” Yankovic and a Q&A with the film’s stars, the hilarity continues.

Arriving on shelves September 12, the 4K and Blu-ray packages -- labelled “Hero Edition” -- include Captain Underpants’ signature cape.
