The company’s Animation Lab is expanding its slate with new properties including the ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ liveplay series ‘Magic & Stuff,’ launching May 31, as well as two new Latine Spanish language animated shows, ‘Puerco y Babosa’ and ‘El Mundo De Boggs.’
The new animated series based on the online gender-inclusive comedy series about a weird, long-eared dog named Chikn Nuggit and his fast-food-named friends is the second property under development as part of Genius Brand’s first-look deal with Frederator.
The Genius Brands’ subsidiary gains first rights to develop and produce longform series based on BuzzFeed Animation Lab digital properties, including ‘The Land of Boggs,’ ‘The Good Advice Cupcake,’ ‘Weird Helga,’ and ‘Chikn Nuggit.’
