Renown animation, VFX, virtual production, and games conference reveals massive program of free events featuring master filmmakers and top industry professionals, including Sir Roger Deakins and the Badass Women Production Designers; event runs in person and online October 17-22 in Torino, Italy.

The free virtual event’s 2021 theme is ‘Merging Physical and Digital Worlds – The Rise of the Metaverse;’ 3-day program features sessions, keynotes, and demos, all focused on real-time technology and its impact on the workplace and how people connect.

Highlights for this year’s Stuttgart Animation Festival include the international competition for short films; German premieres of ‘Wolfwalkers’ and ‘Josee, the Tiger and the Fish;’ ‘Creating*Diversity and Pandemic Animation’ film compilations hitting on current social and political topics; and ‘Wonderwomen – Women in Games & Animation.’
